Default RC-F Exhaust

I'd like to improve the exhaust system on my new 2017 RC-F and notice that Lexus offers an $1800 (plus installation) setup that is supposed to increase power, torque and sound. Does anyone have any experience with this? I know that Borla and many others make exhaust mods for my car, but I'd like to stick with Lexus (even though it will probably cost more) in order to protect my warranty. Comments?

I don't think you would be happy with the marginal result from Lexus. Installing an aftermarket exhaust does not void any warranty beside the exhaust itself

ssmoked,
Thanks. If it's only the exhaust warranty at risk, then I'll check out other systems. Are there any you can recommend?

In my opinion Borla. It's affordable, the deep tone is nice, loud and deep when you floor it and quiet when you cruise on highway without drone. It really wakes the car up. It might be my butt dyno, but i think the car pulls harder after the install. Only downfall is the exhaust tip is not pretty like the stock oval and your neighbors might hate you if you leave work before the sun rises.

ssmoked,
OK, I'll start with Borla. Sound is the most important thing to me. I'm a product of the 1950's when we hung glasspack mufflers on our flathead Ford V8's to get great sound. And since I'm retired and never leave home before 9:00 I doubt the neighbors will notice. Thanks again.

Borla's tin can mufflers look proper on a Ford Fiesta not an $80k Lexus.

Are you sure that the performance exhaust you are seeing from Lexus IS actually for the RC-F and not the other RC models?

This. Lexus has no performance parts for the F.

I do not experience any drone - I have PPE headers installed and maybe they eliminate the drone.
