Default Kahtech flasher

So a few weeks ago I put a few cars on an S5. He tried to rebuttal and let him pass. Seeing traffic was heavy he hit the brakes and his third brake light and tail lights flashed in sequence and then went steady. I've seen this before yet, wanted to do this to the RCF. While a cheap mod ( under 40 bucks ), I can tell you that my want and result were two different things.

I am having issues finding the feed that sends signal to the first brake light. After pulling half the car apart with a buddy, we have disiphered that the third brake light is one wire that is split throughout the car. The tails, are a 4 wire connection and all feed from the same circuit. I got TIS diagrams and tried to follow but after pulling the 3rd brake light, the entire trunk, and part of the drivers door no luck. So here goes....

I need to find the source of the third brake light. I've got TIs breakdowns of wires etc, but simply it can't be found. So, what's next. Looking for the assistance of the group to see if this is something we can actually do

Thanks
-JB

I love the Kahtec smart stop! I have it on my supra and IS300, had it on my ISF too
There is a 2-wire connector for the high mount brake light behind the headliner, unfortunately, I haven't decided to take my interior panels off, specially the headliner.
Here's what I have:

Thanks!

I was able to see the diagrams in TIS. I couldn't locate the U8 connector and think ripping the headliner is not in the cards. I was able to see where the 3rd brake light connects outside.

after some testing....a buddy thinks we can pin a connection by the drivers footwell. See the diagram

I believe it's the top connecter in one of the pins. Worth a try before ripping the car apart again. Likewise, I got the " 3 way " flasher. So it's good for the 3rd brake light and two rear brake lights. Learning a lot.
Thanks for the diagrams, yet need to find an easier way

That would be awesome if we can tap from under the dash! Please update this thread
I might get the 3 way flasher too then.

Im really looking forward to seeing if this works. Many in ISF's and other 2g IS models have used a tap under the drivers seat for this action. Personally, I didnt want to be the guinea pig for this experiment. Yet if it works, I'll be adding the optic LED lights in the bumper reflectors so EVERYTHING flashes when braking. lol

more to come. Thanks again for the ideas and support ~JB
