Score a Win for the RC
Check out the J.D. Power & Associates APEAL study which just got published and has the Lexus RC won for Premium Compact Car. Beating the BMW 3 and 4 Series as well as many others.

interesting, I wonder what the overall score criteria was considering the RC came in 5th for performance and comfort. 1st for Instrument panel and style, but hard to believe that either of those categories hold more weight than performance.
*edit. looking at the link at the bottom of the page it explains the scoring. The RC won because it had the highest rank in two categories, where all the other models only held the highest rank in a single category.

He will still say his is better. However, you and I know Lexus is well rounded and at the end of the day, we have more money left over to do or acquire other enjoyable things. ☺😊😀😁👍👍 He will have a car that will continue to burn holes in his wallet or pocket, especially after warranty. Even with a lease, he will still spend more time and effort during the lease for taking the car to the dealership for repairs . Not to mention if he gets stranded somewhere due to breakdowns. Just too much headaches for me.

Time for your friend to look into EXTENDED warranty for his BMW 4 series!!!!! I sure hope it is not his daily driver!!
I did for my previous MB SLK!!! I sold it a few years ago just 12 months prior to extended warranty expiration! !! Although I never had any major problems with the SLK, but the little things just irritated me weekly and many trips to the MB dealer under original warranty. I had most of the minor issues resolved by the time I sold it. I just did not want to contine to roll the dice anymore at the time and decided the fun was over for me with that MB SLK. BTW, I missed the hardtop convertible MB SLK, soon afterwards I bought another one!!! With warranty of course!!!!
