Got an e-mail last week saying a new software release for Lexus Enform App Suite was coming out 8/20/15 (version 2.9.40) and they were replacing Bing with a new app called Destination Search on your App Suite. Today, my car media screen said there was a mandatory software update that needed to be downloaded and installed. I installed it on the car. When I got home, I went to the Apple store to update the smartphone Lexus Enform App Suite, but it is still release 2.8.37. The version history lists release 2.9.40, but it's not available for download. Has anyone been successful in updating both the car and smartphone software that replaces Bing?

The Destination Search that replaces Bing is suppose to allow you to:
• Search by address, category, and view search history.
• Search using voice recognition.
• View point-of-interest phone number and use the call button to connect directly to your destination.
• NEW! Sort search results by distance.
• NEW! Receive automated suggestions as you search on your smartphone, making it even easier to find what you're looking for.

I found the update is available today on Apple Store and Bing is replaced with Destination Search. Haven't tried out the new features yet.

So this update is automatic and you don't have to go to the dealer for it? My girl has been having to rile receiving all her texts from both her iPhone 5 and note 4. Will this remedy that as well? Anyone else have text receiving issues?

Yes, the car was an automatic update as long as you were connected to the Enform App so it had access to the internet. There is a notification on the media screen that there is an update with the option to install or wait. The smartphone app was not automatic although you should see that an update is available. You have to update from the App store.
My iPhone 5S was not having a text problem before or after the update. There was nothing in the release notes that it fixed any bugs, just a replacement of Bing with Destination Search and some new sorting abilities.
