Yes, it was an AWD model. The gap vs the rear just seemed much more pronounced than I've seen on the IS. I'm really hoping it was just an anomaly on a pre-production model.
Eek. I was just in the dealership and saw a beautiful USB RC350 FSport AWD ... and the first thing I noticed was the gigantic wheel gap. I mean I've wanted to love this car since it was announced, but DAMN is that ever brutal. I mean I wasn't even looking for it and BAM I couldn't miss it. I measured it (very scientifically!) as approx 4.5 fingers high. Maybe this was the special Monster Truck edition I was I seeing??? Sure it can and will be lowered once good options are made available - but I'm just shocked they'd even put this out looking like this. Per my previous post, I assumed that the gigantic wheel gap I saw on the model I previewed was just a pre-production anomaly that would be corrected. Sadly I was wrong. As far as I I can tell the front wheel gap is actually higher than the 3IS AWD models. That's puzzling to me.
And given the alignment bits are designed around the car sitting this high, I'd be concerned about how much lowering the suspension will impact camber (more so than on previous IS generation I would have to think).
Still ... It's a beautiful piece of work especially in USB.
