OV Transmission tune. (Kinda)
So I've been hassling OV about the transmission tune, and what I got out of it is there is still now way to access the TCU to change shift behavior/speed/rev matching etc. However... he did tell me that he could decrease the shift delay in the car when in S-mode. Therefore giving us the ability to actually shift correctly with the paddles and not have to anticipate the shift. I'm hoping within a few weeks I could go down and have my car retuned for this purpose. Also I believe that we will be able to reach the increased redline in the DRIVE rather than just S. I will post initial impression as soon as I get the retune.

<My below analysis and thoughts are based under the assumption that the current transmission logic is the same between OV and RR-Racing>
Being that our 2IS350 transmissions behave as gear limiters in S-mode, one requested revision to the tune that I would hope to see incorporated is to have the ECU know that the revised rev limit is now higher than the stock 6700 RPM while in S-mode or auto mode and to allow us to reach the new rev limit accordingly without us trying to initiate a shift early and hope that the car shifts at the higher rev limit.
While in S-mode with the ECU Tune, the driver can only achieve the higher rev limit (in my case it is 7200RPMs) if you're selecting the exact gear (i.e. selecting 2nd gear to do a 40-65mph pull at 7200RPMs). If you have 3rd gear selected and try to do a 40-65mph pull, the car will automatically downshift to 2nd on its own BUT it will only make it up to 6700RPMs (stock rev limit) before upshifting to 3rd (which is the top gear limit selected that the computer can shift up to).
If it is possible to readjust the ECU to allow it to upshift at 7200RPMs without being in the exact selected gear in S-mode (or while driving in automatic mode), that would be a good way to compensate for the shift delays when trying to upshift the car on your own at RPMs beyond the stock 6700 range.
Going back to the 2nd gear 40-65mph pull example, if I'm at WOT with 2nd gear selected in S-mode, the transmission will allow me to hit 7200RPMs BUT the driver has to time the upshift properly to account for the shift delay and try and hit 7200RPMs without banging off the rev limit. If I try upshifting to 3rd very early while in WOT (i.e. at 5000ish RPMs), the transmission will continue to pull all the way to 6700RPMs (stock rev limit) and will automatically shift to 3rd. If I try to initiate the upshift from 2nd to 3rd at let's say 6500RPMs, the shift delay will allow me to pass the stock rev limit of 6700RPMs but since the ECU may not necessarily know to keep the RPMS going until 7200RPMs, it may upshift me to 3rd gear at a range between 6800-7100RPMs since the ECU doesn't know I want to keep the RPMs pulling until 7200RPMs. It would be fantastic if I could initiate the upshift early enough to account for the shift delay but the ECU knows to keep the gear until reaching 7200RPMs.
I think if there's a way to tell the ECU that 7200RPMs (or 7400RPMs) is the new rev limit whether in S-mode or automatic mode, the driver can consistently hit 7200-7400 RPMs before the transmission upshifts to the next higher gear.

No luck yet, I've basically been ignored by OV for the last month. They said they have updates for bench tunes, but can't get a word out of them. I have a feeling they're kinda only providing support for the handheld users and forgetting the bench tunes. I i understand they're busy but it's been over a month of me asking when I can get the update and nothing....
