Questions on Turbo build
While I'm piecing together, info for the turbo build I've come to an issue that no one seems to have a definite answer to. If I were to put a single turbo in our car, could I turbo just one bank. The idea would be to have my headers cut and bent to angle towards the stock air intake box, and place the turbo there, or near it. But would turbo-ing only one bank mess it up. I would say no, because the intake still comes in and is spread to all the cylinders, but the backpressure would probably get all wacky if only one was turboed. the exhaust outlet of the turbo would run down to where the other header meets the midpipe.

The first issue to come to mind is, how would you tune the banks independently since they will have different flow characteristics likely resulting in the need for different ignition timing and fuel correction tables in open loop mode?

Yeah, what you would want to do instead is run what is available like one of the off-the-shelf G35 single-turbo kits and run a merged pipe AFTER the two factory exhaust manifolds that route there way back up to the in-engine bay single turbo. Example of what I'm talking about here :

Yeah, I've got my kit all planned out; just don't have the money since I'm saving for a track car.
