Default Injen Intake Fitment Help

Hey Guys,

Just installed my Injen intake today, and it took some fiddling/forcing just to get the bracket to meet the little vibramount screw that you screw into the fender wall. Is it normal to have to sort of bend the rubber force the metal bracket to meet or is it supposed to just sit pretty easily?

Now that its installed it seems like there's no room to put the side engine cover back on. when i place it on top, it sits high and the screw on the top right doesn't meet.

Here's a pic of the intake in my car:

From other pics it looks like it should be rotated slightly more to the right, but then there isn't much room for the cone and bracket to move from where I have it. Any tips?

That's what it seems like? But it doesn't seem like that cone can go anywhere other than that spot to make it sit lower? In install pics it looks like the whole intake is rotate inwards towards the engine so that the MAFS isn't in the way of the cover. That might be what I try next. I'll take some pics tomorrow of how the left side cover would sit right now

Are you sure that the covers are suppose to fit over the intake?

Basically what Illicit said you probably need to rotate the intake towards the engine. This is mine's even though I don't have the engine cover on right now but when I did back then there weren't fitment issues.

My intake actually is underneath the engine cover. It is touching it. I'm worried it may cause air sensor problem.

I drove with the engine cover touching the air sensor for about 20k miles and it never became a problem so I'm hoping it won't be for you. This is with daily freeway commuting with the occasional aggressive foot when I'm feeling it LOL.
