Default 02 gs300,Gte swap or built na-t?

So I actually started a na-t build but now I am second guessing my self as for me to build an engine which I have a spare of it will be north of 3300 or so now a swap could be had for about the same or less however from my searching my 02 is the harder one to swap since it has the immobilizer security feature
Another idea I remember a friend doing in his is300 is running all of the stock wire harness and sensors from the ge on the gte with an aem fic and on a built a650 so what are peoples thoughts on these ideas?

The stock ge is not a real option as the ring lands are weak so the 400whp mark is going to get passed real quickly

Iam on the same boat as you. I have the same year Lexus and i know what u mean about the swap debating on just boosting the gs wait till it goes and rebuild or swap but it would be a wiring nightmare.... am waiting till the October meet and ask people whos has the same year gs and see how the swap went............

so till then i am still searching on the net on the swaps...

Yea I am leaning in the direction of a fully built ge motor and boost that but this is why I am trying to gather opinions before I pull the trigger.

Im trying to figure out the same thing with my GS. My engine has very high miles on it so Im not sure how it will hold up. Compression is excellent on all cylinders but I just have a feeling as soon as I add boost something is going to let go. Would it be best to just to build the GE or do the aristo swap? Ive looked at a few swaps and it seems that its just as easy or easier to do the Aristo swap.

If you're engine has higher miles, I would probably not be boosting on it very hard. It seems as if the rods weaken over time and can not take the extra strain of boost. If you throw in a set of GTE internals or aftermarket fully forged internals, then it will take every bit as much of a beating that the GTE engine will(or more power with fully forged). Aristo swap is easy on the 99-01 cars, but the newer ones 02+ are going to significantly more difficult due to the wiring. Also it seems like some of the body control and multiplex is a little different as well in the newer year cars.

This is the car I've been working on the past week. It's almost finished up. Will be ready to fire up tomorrow!
This is just a mild build. IS300 NA-T 450whp pump gas daily driven setup. It's ready to take some E85 or race gas and make some real power(650-700hp+), but I keep it conservative because it's the loaner car

Started out bone stock.

Built shortblock w/ GTE internals.

Nearly complete.

Yes my car is an 02 so I am pretty much stuck doing na-t however I have a stock is300 short block ready to build and I really wanted to just drop in a set of tt rods and pistons however I am not too sure on this as I was under the impression that the cylinders tend to "egg" shape after 100k+ miles?

What are your opinions on just using tt pistons and rods for a more of a budget build?

I am looking for high 400's to to low 500's depending on how the tuning goes but given that it will be a built auto maybe that is a lofty goal basically I am looking to get the most out of pump 93 fuel.

Basic rundown of mods....

Built head with bc 264 cams

Fuel system

aem fic

3" exhaust

fmic

walbro 255

fuelab afpr

Bw s366

And will be building my a650 trans with a power dynamix valve body and 500+ hp sprag as well as a stock clutch kit and a couple of trans coolers plus a custom stall etc etc

The lower end is what I am kind of on the fence about

Use a bore gage to check it to see if it's out of round.

I'm about to post up a video of how to check the block soon.
