That looks like a pretty good idea. Cutting off the bellhousing is better than cutting the tunnel I guess. There's a guy in the tagged thread that says it fits nicely with two 2"x3" cutouts in the tunnel. He won't give off any information cause he's been burned on trying to help people. I still don't see how it sits high enough for everything to line up without some serious hammering to widen the tunnel. I have 2 is300's now and will give it another try if supra store can pull this off.

Collins has figured out how to make this work, does anyone have this trans mounted in? If so how does it work out? I've moved on to a Ar5 and it's great but still wanna see how the cd009 works out.

They figured out how to get it to bolt up. They did not figure out how to make it fit easily.
It requires a lot of transmission tunnel "modification"
Then, the rear diff ratios are completely incompatible with it.
A friend was the first ever to do this. He may not like to admit it, but it was definitely one of those "I told you so" moments for me.

Fits fine. Completely integrated into the car with minimal tunnel work. Shifter same spot as stock. Small cut needed for housing (this car was MT) and transmission comes in and out very easily. Uses ANY OEM 350/370Z clutch, OEM tranny x member and modified OEM driveshaft.

Looks like a few people finally got that big sausage biscuit cd009 to fit. I eventually went with an AR5 and a spec twin disk. I shred with it on 650whp with 10.5 MT drag radials. It fit like a OJ Simpson glove but I like it. Back in 2013 the AR5 was just a rumor haha.
