They do look good in polish.. I am impressed. I ordered black as typically i am anti- bling.. but they do look good!

Did you have any excess weld slag in the O2 bung like Brian?

They look even better in person. Very sweet.

Yes there is excess weld slag in the O2 bung but it's only on the passenger side header... Wonder if this will affect exhaust flow?

400 engines respond well to headers but 430 engines REALLY need them. Look at the stock single tube log manifold and it makes sense why.

Here is a comparison:

Mine just came in today..ill report back once I get them installed, but it might be a while. Its winter here and the car is hibernating. Headers look good, but im gonna clean up the weld slag before I put them on.

I see.. thanks for the pic's TL.

I would not be too worried.. considering you will have a sensor sticking up there anyway.

Get em on'

For those of you who have installed your headers, did you re-use the stock gaskets or buy new ones?
PPE should be starting production next week on my SC400 headers.

Okay so while looking over my headers for the 100th time.(I cant wait to install these.) I found a small hole in one of the welds of the passenger side header. It big enough to fit about 3-4 mechanical pencil leads in so it's small but it will definitely cause and exhaust leak if installed. What should i do? Contact PPE about it or just have it welded over? This kinda sucks...

Pencil lead actually goes through??

I hope PPE does what S&S did and pay for both way shipping. It's wouldn't be fair if you have to ship it back at your own cost just because they didn't complete the welds...

I suspect it's an isolated issue. I'm definitely going through mine when I get it. So far I'm not fond of the burr I've been seding around the O2 bung.
