CEL - F Sport intake install to blame?
my dads '06 250 was showing the check engine light and the VSC light all of a sudden today. He said he felt the car jerk a little when applying throttle.
I opened the hood and to me it looked like the intake-pipe had slid out a little of the rubber sleeve on the airbox - to the point where the pipe was at a slight angle from the coupling itself.
From the look of it, it had slid up about an inch or so - maybe to the point where air could get in between the steel pipe and the coupling.
Could this be the best bet for the reason why it showed those CEL's?
We didnt want to mess around with it, as its suppose to be looked at by a certified Lexus tech, and we would like to make sure they never do a install job that poorly again!
If air would get in between the pipe and the coupling, could this have caused any harm to the engine?
thanks!
