lol thanks for ur opinions and answers guys sry if it seemed like a dumb question, im looking to buy my first car and these r some of the cars i was thinking of
I owned a 325CI before my IS250 and I think the IS is a little faster. But when the new 3 series came out, the 325 was actually a 3.0L engine. So the new ones would win I think.
is the is250 slow? i know compared to a 350 it would be slow but next to a 325 or a c230 or even a mazda 3 how would it compare?
The 250 should be close to 325i and c230. Definitely much slower than 350. But since this is your first car, I suggest going with a Lexus since it is more reliable. You wouldn't want your first car to be in the shop many times and a lot of headaches. Unless you will be racing your car, who cares which one is faster. In a Lexus, you will be ridin in style. Just an opinion.
thanks flipsonic and yea reliability means the most to me and since i wont drive until next year, and by then the used cars ill be looking at will be 3 years old so . and the speed i was jw bout if i ever run across these cars later on lol
i drive the is250.. and everytime i drive a faster car i miss the power.. but i am satisfied with my car and will LOVE IT FOREVERRRRRRRRR until i can afford the new m3
TO me the power on the IS250 is enough. Merging and passing on the freeway is definitely not a problem. Engine is really smooth and quiet.
I agree. No one complained about 204 horses 10 years ago, but yet it seems "slow" today. I drive like a grandma, but I do hit the gas when I need to enter a freeway or pass someone on the highway. The IS250 has no problem with acceleration, and seems reasonable for 204hp.
The 250 is normally my daily beater, and traffic here is horrible, so I couldn't justify an IS350 to get me to work and back. Besides, I get over 33 mpg on long highway trips with the AC on, and yes, it is a Lexus.
thanks everyone for the opinions and hey horse power isnt everything, if im rite the acura nsx only has like 230 somethinng h.p. and no1 with that car complains lol
