15-20hp or 5-7% is definitely not going to happen. Unfortunately, changing out an exhaust on a N/A car just doesn't do much for performance. As for sound and looks it may be worth it.

The cats are in the exhaust manifolds only. You are probably confusing the mid-ship resonator as a cat. If the resonator was a cat, it would have heat shields and the secondary O2 sensor would be behind it.

Just passing along what the rep said, I agree that 5-7 HP is probably accurate than the 15-21 HP figure.

I'm going to try and track down a local Borla dealer and get the exhaust ordered. Hopefully get it before the Holidays, although my luck with custom orders and actually receiving them in a timely manner sucks (over 2 months and still waiting for my BBS RS-GTs, grr).

I don't like it. The tips stick way to far out and they don't go well with the lines of the car. I like the Tanabe for the price and if you can afford it, the Toms system is cool too.

I don't see how you can make a judgement about tip length from that picture.

Count me in for the group buy if we can get it.

I don't think there's anything new not sure though. I'm still waiting on that information myself. I hope we can get the group buy to save some $$$$. If anyone has information please share.

Looks decent. Proably would consider it but need more info on it.

I wonder if any exhaust companies will offer an exhaust with duel tips? I think I would rock the duel tip exhaust. Someone should come out with one.

I am going to order one, but its a 6-8 week wait from what the retailer told me.

Plus I want to see more pics, an overall install pic would really do it for me, see where it hooks up and what it looks like underneath.

Something I just noticed about the description on the Borla web page is that "Cat-Back" is a Borla trademark. It may not be indicative of a true cat-back design.

Guys, I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I was totally wrong. Lobuxracer straightened me out about this. There are indeed 2 sets of cats. There is a primary CC for each cylinder bank in the exhaust manifold with O2 sensors before and after, then there are secondary cats (unmonitored) in the mid-pipe. Since the secondary cats are not monitored via OBDII, they could easily be removed.

The drawing below shows the stock mid-pipe, and a midified version that I think could "improve" the sound of the stock system while picking up a pony or two. It would probably also shave 10-15 lbs. I figure the stock pipe could be modified by just about any exhaust shop for very little money.
