From what I have heard, though it works on other cars, it doesnt for the Lexus.

well you heard wrong, dont believe me? drive for 20 min how it is right now feel your throttle body area, now the next day or wait about 2-3 hours till its totally cool again, do the mod, this time drive for at least 20 min come home feel your throttle body, if it doesnt feel cooler then you can prove me wrong

There were a couple of big discussions about this on supra forums. Some said that it improved throttle response a bit. Me, I think it's too much hassle to do for such a small difference.

That may be true, but slap it on a dyno and look for an improvement- 2 people have independently not seen any gains from this.....but one also stated exactly what you said, but added that it actually got even hotter after about an hour of driving, so it actually had detrimental results in the long run. To each his own though. This mod works wonders in a mustang BTW.

It was also mentioned that on an alluminum engine, having different temps on different parts might cause problems too. Makes sence.

it also works well on ls1/lt1 camaros, many people have documented 6+rwhp gains, but that's a camaro, not perfected from the factory nearly as much as a lex.
