after i got it back from the mechanic, the car sounds like a supra now. i have a borla exhuast but the car sounded smooth before. He cleaned the throttle body, sparks, wires, fuel filter, timing belt, fan belt, oils, clutch, coolant and brakes. what could have caused this increase in noise level. the car sounds mean as hell now. It sounds rough when you rev it now. it use to be quiet.. when i would rev it, it would sound nice and smooth but have a deep tone to it. If i reved it now and compare it to a na supra i don't think you would be able to tell the difference.

Is that a bad thing?

Did the car feel sluggish at all before you took it to the mechanic? Maybe the work done on the car really rejuvenated the car.




I'll trade my factory exhaust for the borla exhaust if it bothers you that much.

well khaos i don't know how much difference there is because i had the clutch replaced with the mechanic too. The break in period is killing me. I want to see how my car sounds over 3000 rpm. The thing that is bothering me is that deep tone sounds nice but there is also another noise that is coming from the bottom of driver's seat that sort of makes it sound bad. i don't know how to explain it.. the deep tone sounds like it is coming from the back but that other noise seems to sound like it's coming from underneath my seat...

well i got the car fixed. there was a loose pipe underneath the car and the exhaust gasses was leaking out of it. car sounds nice and quiet now.
