I've been noticing a rattle sort of growling noise coming from the right side. It sounds like sort of an exhaust growl and is associated with idle or low idle speed. It's like when the RPM's are at a certain point it harmonizes something in the exhaust and it rattles.

It's recently become more noticeable after I drove through several standing water puddles on the road after a rain storm.

Anyone ever heard of or had this problem?

I'd like to know where to start to look.

It might br your EGR pipe.

This morning I didn't hear it at all...er, well I don't remember hearing it. I don't think it's a cracked exhaust. That would have a pretty consistant sound. Not a come and go rattle-resonating noise.

Also, one more thing to add, when I make a turn and turn the wheel driving slow (<5 mph), sometimes the sound starts. Sort of like turning the wheel applied some stress to the frame and would cause whatever is making the sound to resonate more.

It's kind of hard to describe it better.
