4.7 Tundra Short block with 1UZ heads
Hey gang,
Anyone know if this would work? Tundra (4.7) bottom with 1UZ DOHC heads (4.0)? Thinking about stroking my next project.

Build yourself a stroker without using the Tundra crank, do a search and you'll find my instructions on what you need...

Since I am getting custom pistons, I would like to find out more info on this issue. Maybe I can sneak the 4.7 crank in. I wonder what the new cubic inch would produce in the 4.0 liter engine. Secondly, i wonder if the oil pain would clear the large crank.
Anyone know where i can find one for cheap? I went to www.car-parts.com. Two places have the engine block (short block) for $500. I am thinking about paying about $200 fo or the crank. Its a R&D project therefore, i dont want to pay too much.

I just found out its not worth the trouble. This is what I got from a forum Down Under.
Tundra 2UZFE 94 bore 84 stroke 9.6:1 4.7L
LS430 2UZFE ? bore ? stroke ?:1 4.3L
1UZFE 87.5 bore 82.5 stroke 10:1 4.0L
Seems like you are only going to get an extra 1.5mm stroke. Which means going from 3968cc to 4040cc. Harldy worth the expense. Probably better to find a Tundra block, if the internals are of the same quality. People might do it if they have a Tundra crank lying around.. the 1UZ rods could work, and would raise the compression a little for an atmo engine.

Corrected my post above , i'll be specific - larger sleeves, stock Tundra dished pistons, Tundra head gaskets, 1UZ rods, you can get to almost 5 litres, but with this setup I believe you will not gain compression Lextreme, but rather you'd lose at least half a point of compression, too tired to do the math right now, but i'll calculate it later to make sure, but that would be bueno for your FI setup...
