Default Trying to decide between 1j/2j vvti

I know this has been visited way too many times but I have a question. I was pretty well set on buying a 2j vvti this winter however I've started considering a 1j- if I do the 1j and add all of the tomei parts (turbo, cams, full exhaust) with some sort of standalone and want a extra bit of power would the addition of a 2j block yield much or would the compressor run out of steam with the added half liter?

What's your ultimate power goal?

2JZ is better in almost every way except price and sound.

I would go 1JZ
But I'm biased since I ripped out a perfectly good 2JZ just to have a 1JZ

The added displacement is just more power potential

Unsure of power goal. (Looking for a fun all around car) streetable- 1500+ mile road trip if I want to... Great in the corners. I would think 500 would be plenty but we all know how addictive it gets. Original plan was to drop in the aristo motor with supporting mods and go until the factory fuel lines ran out of steam or the upgraded turbos did. Which from what I've gathered is mid to upper 500's
