1JZ VVTI bogs when revved? (SC300)
Hey Guys!
So after 1.5 years of buying parts and BS with my mechanic in CA I have now picked my car up and towed it home NEARLY complete. I have a 1JZ VVTI with an R154 in my SC300 and the car starts and idles BEAUTIFULLY but when I go to give it ANY gas at all it begins to bog down and almost die. even if you lightly try to apply the gas it begins to bog.
Things my mechanic says he checked and/or replaced:
MAF - Tested on running car
Water Temp Sensor
Ignitor - Tested on Running Car
ECU - Tested on running Car
Leakdown/Compression tested
There is currently a walbro 255 installed in the car the seems to be working fine judging by how the car starts and idles like a cold blooded gangster killer. I am thinking it may be the TPS? Any help would be appreciated and I am ready to throw money at parts because I JUST WANT TO DRIVE THIS BEAST!!!

Did the engine come with tranny or did you do the swap from auto to manual?
The only thing I can think of, if you did the manual conversion is what every vvti v8 manual swap guy dreads.
He probably connected the wires for it to start, but not sure if you have to keep the tranny solinoids plugged in or not. That's the only thing I can think of off the top
