Default sc300 1jz vvti swap tach not working

Hey guys I have a 1994 sc300 I just swapped in my vvti 1j
Wiring was done by my buddy garret at getnuts here in Vegas and my tach is not working
Was wondering if some of you guys could help me out and guide me on it

did you bypass the resistor on the back of the tach? R109 resistor.
