best way to gain HP with sc400?
okay sorry i havnt posted in a while guys, i was planning on getting an ls1 98 camaro, ive been working 40 hours plus school and i can afford the down payment and the monthly cost (with a little help from my mom). but when the guy saw me and knew i was only a kid he REFUSED to sell me the car! it pissed me off, then he went on about how i should never own a car with that much power, so now im back with plan A. I got a 95 sc4 for about 2 years now, no mods at all! ive saved up about 3000 dollars, with this much money what do you think i could do to get more HP, and about how much HP would i get?

He refused to sell you a car? Was this a dealer??? If so, speak to his boss. If it's private, find another one. Sounds like an idiot to me. If you want the car, go get it.
Oh yeah, drive safe.

That's really strange. If the guy has made up his mind and wants it, I see no reason not to sell it to him? You're not his parent, and he's going to just buy someone else's instead. Freedom of choice I say. I'd sell anything to anyone who wants to buy it. Sure, warn them first, but if they want it, they're going to get it anyway. Imagine being the young guy with the money and the desire, yet noone will sell you the car you want, because they profess to know what is good for you.
Heh heh, I'm an old guy, but I had fun when I was a kid. Could be worse for him, I had motorcycles when I was younger. 500 pounds, 130 rwhp - now that's dangerous.

like i said before i have a 91 Ls which has the same drive train and i'm going with a direct port nitrous system. it will run me about $1500. you don't have to go that extreme with your nitrous kit. there are kits out there that start at $500 and will give you up to 150hp!! that's about all that's out right now except for ecu upgrades and exhaust upgrades. from what im hearing there is a few things on the drawing board such as long tube headers, superchargers, turbochargers!! so just keep your ears open.
