1992 sc400 power issues
hey guys, just picked up another sc400 and its got some fun ol' problems that im trying to narrow down before spending a ton, on the hunt for a new motor but still need this one fixed up and running properly for a twin charge build. right now the car runs but spits and sputters and looses power, i believe the fuel filter may be clogged up aswell as the cat( rattles a ton) car is tempormental with its idle. ill be idleing good then drop and sometimes stall out, just changed all fluids through the car and plugs/ ignition coil. need it running good as its my daily drifter since its already been beaten on. american title, 532xxx km. it needs love, has egr deleat. any popinions would be greatful, still learning day by day about these cars. hard to find parts out here in british columbia.
Thanks all, will stay posted with any new news.
Tyler.

BTW, in the USA thats 330k. Nice.
So it sounds like it's been neglected, ECU might need a rebuild even it's its been replaced or rebuilt before, but start with the small. Such as plugs and wires, distributor and caps, if the cats are red hot then theyll need to be replaced, but theyre red from another issue if so. Maybe something to do with the MAF...just throwing those out there

just did some digging and found out I have some wires cut on my ecu. one is a red wire which I believe is the idl1 rest im unsure about. I cant find a detailed enough diagram of the ecu to lead some wires. I dont have traction control. and dont no if wires had to be cut for the egr deleat. any help will be much appreciated
