For awhile my 95 SC400 had been making some kind of annoying clicking/fan sounding noise from the transmission area, I wanted to try and get around to looking into it but was always busy, well the sound eventually progressed into shaking, loud noises from what I felt was the rear right of the car, but could've very well been in the center.

Anyways today I heard 2 pops, the first was small, and slight. I was still able to drive. After I left my friends house, I was driving to the gas station to fill up and head home for the night, then I heard a louder pop and boom, transmission was no longer catching.

I had it towed home and here I am, anyone have any ideas or similar experiences like mine?

Just buy another transmission and get her back on the road. Try to get the torque convertor also. GL. Not that hard to remove and replace with the right setup and tools.
