Default turbo build throttle body

Hello, I am starting to gather parts to turbo my car (ge motor). I have seen that it is pretty popular to run the q45 tb (also popular in the nissan world) because of its large size (i think the butterfly is like 80mm). I was wondering if anyone runs the sc400 tb or ls400 tb instead. Also, does anyone know what size the 400 tb is? I was thinking it might be better if the lexus uses the same tps, if could just swap over, rather than having to buy an adapter for the q45

thanks for the help

you can make alot of power with the stock throttle body and nothing idles the car as good as the stock throttle body, that being if you have 3" or larger intercooler piping there is probably some benefit to the sc400 or ls400 throttle body, or even a FFIM with a larger mustang or q45 throttle body. the v8 throttle body is a little bigger than the I6 one but does not have an idle valve integrated. you will have to find a way to add that.

check out my thread for the v8 throttle body.
