Default 1JZGTE Single Turbo Boosting SLOOWWWW HELP

Well my stock twins went out. So I ended up installing a Drift Motion .57 70A/R Turbo kit. It seems like the turbo doesn't start spooling until 3800 then I hit full boost at 4000 all of a sudden. It just doesn't feel right just way TOOO laggy. It almost feels like it's breaking up a bit before it hits boost at 4000. I've checked all couplers, looked at vac lines. Anyone have input on what to check next? Is this just a SUPER laggy turbo? Also when I get full it it throws out whiteish/grey smoke @ 12PSI. Does that mean it's leaning out? Bad BOV?

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

A wideband would tell you if it's leaning out.... Bogging could be leaning out... What management, injectors?

Are you on SAFC by any chance? That actually sounds kind of right. It is a fairly laggy turbo in comparison to the stock twins.

The only think I can speculate is that you have the 'phantom' ECU leaning at partial to WOT when below 3000rpm on larger injectors. Get a wideband to verify. I don't know of any known solution besides standalone and not all 1JZ owners complain about it but it was especially obvious for me when I dumped the stock twins.

Stock injectors and stock ecu. Going with an safc and wideband soon. Also I'm running 5.0 mustang o2 sensor. By phantom ecu are you saying my capacitors could be bad?

I don't know what causes my lean out condition but people in the past on the aussie forums said it could be bad caps. I never had my caps replaced and I do know for a fact there is at least one leaking. I don't know if anyone has ever fixed it by fixing the ECU. It happens much worse under low load in lower gears for me. In high load conditions it runs much cleaner even from an out of boost bog on the highway (AFR 12.2-11.8 across the board, as opposed to the momentary lean spike of 16ish under 3500rpm).
