rebuild engine help!!
Just bought my first SC300, its a 92 manual and it is as clean as can be. I want to eventually put a turbo on it, but to make sure it will handle all the power i want to rebuild the engine from top to bottom. Heres my problem... I cant find any full kits to rebuild the engine. If anyone knows of any please direct me to the right place. I dont want just stock gaskets and all that jazz, i can find those no problem, I want more of "racing" kit. Any help is appreciated! - Kasey

Lol, Not sure if you aware but there are tons of people putting down stout hp numbers on stock 100k+ engines
That being said ill still try to answer your question.
Your not gonna find a "racing" kit per se, What you can do is figure out what pistons, bearings, bolts, etc youd like to use and order them accordingly. Somewhat piecing together your own "kit"
It all depends on your budget, you can go buy a 3k+ stroker kit or you can refresh your engines stock internals with new rings and bearings.
Personally i went
CP low comp pistons
Fel-pro ge head gasket
Clevite race bearings
stock rods + bolts
New head bolts
+ refreshed stock head.
I run about 14psi 80+ miles a day with no issues, One big thing is to make sure the machine shop you use knows what they are doing.
Also stick to stock or equivalent as far as gaskets go, In my past two 2jz builds i used all Fel-pro and works great. As well i used them on my previous 2 american car builds with great success.
