Default SC430 3.26 Diff??

Anyone know if the 3.26 diff out of the SC430 will work with out cars??

Found a good deal on one out of a 2005 SC430 with only 54k on it..

Thanks

Yes ! all you have to do is replace the flange that bolts the driveshaft to the diff, and put the old one from your old diff on the SC430 diff.

I like the 3.26 because I am always on the highway , i had 3.92 it was great but i was always breaking stuff ,power came on too harsh imo.

Another great setup is the 3.62 from the LS400 it's very nice.

I have never tried the 3.76 so i can't comment on that .

Omar.. you are a plethora of knowledge!!

How hard is it to change the companion flange from the one to the other??

I ran the 3.76 Aristo LSD diff with my R154 for years.

It's a great combo, but it's not the best for fuel economy and higher speeds, because the cruising RPMs are relatively high IMO at highway speeds.

^^^^^ED (lexforlife) has the same setup as yours. I was breaking stuff let and right on car with the 3.92 so i figure the 3.76 is not too far from it.

Casey you need a 35mm deep socket to remove the big nut and swap the flanges! and you will need an impact if the diff is of the car.

The high RPMs is truely one of the most annoying things about the stock diff IMO.. Crusing at 70 mph and at something like 3200 rpm if I remember right..

I like the idea of the 3.76 with LSD, but how expensive are they???

3.76 comes with lsd , it's from the tt autos and they all come with LSD.

3.76 tt autos goes anywhere from $800-$1100 depending on the miles and who is selling it.

Good googly moogly... I just spent over 2k for the R154 with all the componets... Ill have to wait for something like that. I will just have to live with the 3.26 for now. I should have the diff wednesday and hopefully installed Thursday after work here at the shop..

Thanks for all the input gentlemen... really appreciate it

Finished the diff swap today.. Took about an hour. Everything went real well, swapped over the companion flange like you said omar.

Car feels a little sluggish, but since its raining I havent really got on it yet...

Thanks again for all the info!!

Cool!

Like i said if you like better mpg, and only do hwy pulls , it's a perfect setup.

I am used to that gear ratio , i can't see myself going back to the shorter gears.

I hope you like.

The 3.76 comes out of a supra auto TT. I'm actually selling my full r154 setup with the supra auto TT diff. Pm me if you are interested.
