1992 lexus SC300 2jzgte jzs147 (HELP ???)
I recently bought a 1992 Lexus sc300 with a 2jzgte jzs147 with a automatic A340E Transmission the only problems seems like my 2jz is not responding like it should check timing was good, did oil change, change spark plugs and seem okay also I currently still have the side mount,no aftermarket upgrades, usdm twin turbos,2jz ecu, doesn't smoke or leak what could be wrong with my vehicle could it be because of the automatic A340E transmission holding back some power ? its my first time working on 2jzgte if you guys could give me an advice on what tips should i look for
Thank you
Thank you

An R154 or V160/V161 would help out. I think a W58 would be alright too if you stick with stock twins and don't push too much power.
The A340E is the factory automatic SC300 transmission isn't it? I usually get the numbers mixed up, but you could drop an auto transmission from a MKIV in there.

Just because the op's car does not feel like it has power doesnt mean its directly the transmission. Could be many things, like vac leak, boost leak. Op what are the exact symptoms? Many of us cannot help unless you have a better description of what is going on.
