Default Opinions on an Engine problem

I took my lexus for a spin during a hot summer day to test it out and what not, and after the ride I noticed the radiator hose at the top of my 1UZ-FE had come lose and there was radiator fluid all over the engine, engine was super hot so I parked it for a few days and reattached the hose. A week later, after I refilled the radiator reservoir, I took it for another rip and the engine temp gauge shot straight to the top after 5-10 minutes of driving. My best guess is the water pump blew cause there was no radiator fluid running through the engine when the radiator hose popped out but I am looking for more opinions.
