My 92 SC 400, Transmisison issue??
Finally got my sc 400 on the road, but im getting some trouble. The car has normal power in L , but once in drive the car is slugish. When i slam the full throttle and hit the button under the gas pettle, it acts like its about to start going, but then continues to be sluggish. I have gone full days that the full throttle works perfectly, but when night time hits, it stops. Yesterday it has just stopped all together? There are no misfires, new spark plugs , cleaned out throttle body/tps. The previous owner said his mechanic said it was a shift solenoid. Already ordered the part, any other ideas tho? This issue is really holding back my upgrades
PS , just went for a drive and it worked for a second , such a tease

Not changing the transmission filter after changing your ATF would be the same as changing your engine oil and not replacing the oil filter. Or, as my father used to say, "It would be like taking a shower and putting your dirty underwear back on."
Is your "O/D" light illuminated?

My O/D light flashes on and off at times. I have a 95 SC400. When the car is cold it drives fine but when warmed up and I stop then go it takes a while to acclerate. Any ideas?

Alright an update guys. Changed the solenoids, OD light still flashing when turned on?
I've changed the mass airflow sensor, throttle position sensor , coolant, transmission oil and filter again. Also cleaned the crap out of the throttle body, and ran seafoam through the car.
To describe the problem more, when the full throttle randomly works, I feel a sort of kick in in the car and the full throttle works and the car runs as it should.

Also tried to reset the ecu and retrain the transmission, did not help. Also the check engine light on the car only goes on during the night time, after i reset it. Im not sure if the CEL is related, because the full throttle doesn't work even when no CEL is one. I need help soon!

just throwing this out there but when u change ur transmission fluid u have to remove the pan... there is usually metal shavings in there from the wear... most ppl just drain it thru the drain plug. i would remove hoses and pan. make sure u get it all out.
