Angry SC300 battery drain issue

I'm at my wit's end with my 1997 SC300. Bought it new. Not one problem until 2 years ago and now everything is going wrong! One problem just won't go away. About 6 months ago, car wouldn't turn over. Got new alternator. Worked for one month then wouldn't turn over. Got new battery and worked for one month and now won't start again. This is now a second car so use it once weekly and take it out for about 1/2 hour. Got battery maintainer. Says it is charged. When I start car, the bells and lights come on but car does not turn over. Then bells and lights won't come on. Now battery maintainer shows not charged. So, what's going on?

Yep, your grounds need cleaned. Remove the battery and follow the negative cables through the engine bay and clean all your grounds. I don't know about SC3's but on SC4's, the power steering pump also has a tendency to leak PS fluid on the alternator which will prevent the alternator from charging properly which will quickly drain the battery if you only drive it once a week.

Sounds like it could be a starter problem... the magnetic starter switch, specifically.

i have a similar issue in my sc4. if i drive it everyday its fine. but if i leave it for over two days the battery dies. i took it to the mechanic and he told me something is drawing a charge even when the car is off. i believe it was 0.2v or 0.3v that was getting pulled but even he couldnt figure out what is wrong with it.
