Default 1jz starter/vacuum problem

Just finished the 1jz swap on my 93 sc300 but when we went to start it the starter didnt do anything. All of the electronics work but we cant get it to start by turning the key. If we connect the leads of the starter it works fine and starts up.

My lexus is a 93 manual. I swap a soar 1j with an auto ecu and harness. all of the tranny plugs were cut off so i currently have no spedo or reverse lights. Could that have to do with the starter issue. Maybe a neutral switch or somthing.

Also what are the hoses on the bov suppose to be connected to. there is an upper and a lower. Is the lower suppose to tee into the wastegate hoses and the upper hose connected to vacuum?

There is a small plug and wire on the starter. You need to disconnect it and run a separate wire from that plug on the starter to the ignition switch inside the car (specifically, the starter circuit)

It's a known swap issue. Nothing alarming. My 92 SC300 5-speed with 93 Soarer 5-speed swap didn't crank over without this mod.

edit:
Off the top of my head, I think the starter wire under the dash was a fairly thick WHITE wire with a RED stripe. Don't take my word for it. Make sure you look it up. It may have been black with orange (or was that IGN1? or maybe it was brown? Eh double check it before you splice)

reverse lights:
-You have 1-red and 1-yellow wire coming off the 1JZ harness that run down to the trans along with the speed sensor wires.
-The reverse switches on the W58 and R154 transmissions have 1-white and 1-black wire.
-Yellow goes to White, and Red goes to Black.
-W58 reverse connector is on the driver side, and R154 is on the passenger side you you'll have to extend the red&yellow wires if using the R154.

nss:
-Okay so all you need to do is get a thick (I used 14ga) wire, put one of those slide on ends to the wire (so it will slide on over a flat metal lead like the one seen above on the trans connector).
-Take off your remote lead on the starter (NOT the one with the nut)
-Slide on your new wire/end
-Take this wire and run it as described above into the cabin, under the dash
-Connect it to the thick black/white wire

Thats what I had to do also was tap into the main starter wire under the driver side dash and run the other end to a relay for the starter under the fuse box.
