2000 SC300 Rear Tail Lights fit 92-96 without Modification?
I've just got my fenders rolled this morning all 4 from a professional here I contracted and my Auto Shine kit is on delivery route as well. I will be ordering the 97+ Tail Lights Assembly to fit my 1993 Lexus SC300. The brand new 97+ Tail Lights that I'm ordering will come with wiring and socket bulbs holder as well.
I've read that installing the 97+ Tail Lights in 92-96 SC will cause the blinkers to blink fast?
Is there a way for me to eliminate the fast blinking?
Thanks in advance.

You're wasting your money! Sourcing out a '97-'00 Tail light ECU is pointless on a '92-'94 year model...You will still get the hyperflash and the tail light failure indicator on your dash...Retrofitting a '97+ tail light ECU will only work "properly" (As in "NO MODDING" necessary) on a '95-'96 year model...I can personally vouch for this, as I've successfully retrofitted '97+ tail lights onto my '95 SC with no modifications done and no hyperflash/lamp failure indicator on my dash.
Also, you need to know which '97+ tail light ECU you'll need, as there are 2 different types (Spoiler and Non-spoiler), They have different part numbers too.

Is the harness from the 97 -00 tail lights directly compatible with the harness on the 93 SCs? I also just purchased a set that's why but don't want to have to rewire anything if its not necessary

Thanks for the information. I haven't yet installed the 97+ tail lights. No time in the meantime when your swapping engines and transmissions daily, rebuilding as well. Here's my Lexus recently dropped on coilovers!
Tail lights is next. No rush for me, I planned to keep this cars years to come.

Speaking of the devil, I've gotten the Tailights just today. Haven't yet install it yet. But I do know the connector plugs into the 1993 Lexus SC300 harness.
I'm still a bit confused on that hyper blinking/hyper flashing. This is what I got from reading about it...
When using the 97+ Tail lights on 95, it works perfectly?
When using the 97+ Tail lights on 92-94, there's hyper blinking/hyper flashing? What do I need to cut all the problems to make this work. I got money, just need simple answers.
Yes, that's a $10,000 dollar Tool Box, Yes, that's a $1,000 dollar Stainless Steel Top, Yes, those are Snap On Tools.

We'll, I've just installed my 99 Lexus SC300 tail lights. Everything fit perfectly. It's flushed and the connector plugs right in.
Test the Parking lights, works.
Test the Left Signal lights, works.
Test the Right Signal lights, works.
Test the Reverse Signal lights, works.
Test the Emergency Signal lights, works.
As far as fitment goes, it fits perfectly and flush. The connect is the same as the other older years, will plug directly in to the light harness connector. You will have to unbolt two 10mm bolts that holds the rear hatch key lock to install the tail light first and then reposition the rear hatch key lock to proper fitment before bolting down the two 10mm bolts.
The only thing is the hyper flashing/ hyper blinking thing.
If the hyper flashing/ hyper blinking don't bug you, it will work the way it is.

Got a question you might be able to answer. I have aftermarket taillights and I notice that wiring from my 96 sc300 does not fit all the slots. The two reverse lights housing are smaller. Im thinking that a wiring harness from a 94-92 would fit the taillight bulb housing because they are all the same width/size? I don't know what a earlier model sc300 tali light wiring harness looks like
