Default Kickdown

Ok i have a big question.

The 2jzge has a 3rd cable which is the Kickdown cable. The GTE has a sensor in the pedal and doesnt downshift unless you stop. Is their a way to fix that on the GTE. Even if you switch the cable wont the ecu try to read something thats not there?

I read on supra forums that you can wire in the supra sensor to your gas pedal. For some reason i didnt need to wire up the kick down switch, my car kicked down whenever i was 60+% wot.
