Default Anybody with a 4.7 swap?

Been considering motor swaps since my 1uz has been giving troubles. Since people swap in a 2jz a lot on here, but been told the crazy amount of cash they had to drop.

Ran a search on the 4.7 swap, and not a lot of info on here. But seems like itd be a lot cheaper since there were a lot of tundras with the 4.7 on the road.

Heard u can mod the 1uz heads so u dont have to do a lot of new wiring.

Anybody have one they swapped into theyre sc4 and care to share?

I dont get why no one is swapping in complete 4.7 liter motors, instead of using the 1uz heads.
If its just for keeping 1uz ecu, why not just rewire to use the 4.7 ecu and harness instead of taking apart the block
The 1uz ecu is not very good anyways.

From what ive read, the 4.7 swap is easier than the 2jz swap and cheaper at that. Theres a company that makes parts for the UZ motors. They sell pistons, rods, crank shafts, cams, bearing, and a lot of other parts to give it power....even twin turbo kits and stroker kits to bring it up to a 5.7L

yeah they are great motors it just costs a whole lot more cause you have to build the motor if you decide to do a hybrid uz engine. If you can just drop in the whole 4.7 as is then you may be right about the cheaper part.
its all about personal preference really, a 4.7 with a TRD supercharger would make a nice daily driver.
