Car still won't start. need help ASAP
Ok so long story short the car wouldn't start and was getting no spark. I literally replaced everything related to the ignition system, as well as had my mechanic double check and take a multimeter to everything. fuses are good, and everything checked out which led us to the ecu gone bad. bought one out of a 95(mine is a 93)from a member here and still won't start and not getting spark. what gives?

Ignitor is new, as is the distributor(where the car gets cam/crank info)
In fact both of those have 0 use on them as I replaced them in an attempt to get the car to start

It looks like the pick up coil is part of the distributor. if your distributor is new and working properly, you will need to make sure your ignition coil has power and working properly. you may have to trace back if your ignition has no power.
check this site out. its got some information you may or may not seen yet.

Very good reference...sadly we have checked everything down to wire resistance already. the ignition coil and igniter(icm) are new and working well. At this point im thinking ist some type of electrical issue, or perhaps a fuel issue.

Can a bad fuel pump/fuel pump ecu cause no spark
Topic. Car cranks, but wont start due to no spark. Everything ignition system has been replaced and checks out. Would a dead fuel pump, or fuel pump ecu also cause no spark?

The exact same thing happened to me, looked for hours on end for a solution on this forum and others with no answer in sight I lost patience and was going to run a two power wires to a switch(one controlling the fuel and other controlling the ignition). In this desperate attempt I spliced a live wire to the ignition module(little silver box on driver side, under the hood). As soon as I did this the car ran the diagnostics in the "on" position. The car started up first try. I went through the hassle of replacing the entire ignition system, ecu, and even contacting Lexus and other performance shops that resulted with no answer. I've been running the car non stop and the problem seemed to go away. Haven't had any problems since then. I hope this helps a lot of people out because I was already to the point where I was going to sell the car, **** sucked.
To make a long post short, hook a power wire from the battery to the "power" wire on the ignition module( should be the thickest wire). Do not leave the live wire splice or connected, simply touch the wire and remove it after. Car should work fine after that.
