Default Swapping 93 SC300 5 Speed to 97 SC300 Automatic Shell? Will it work?

I have a 93 SC300 NA-T and I am considering looking for a clean shell to swap everything over to since mine needs some bodywork and I don't want to deal with that. I may have found a 97 SC300 automatic shell, but I want to make sure that I can swap everything over from my 95...The 97 has no engine, trans, or reared so I want to make sure my 93 stuff will work in it. Thanks for any tips or info you guys have for me.

Just have in mind that 97+ are V V T-i and the ecu is different.... unless you remove the dash and pull out the maing harness then the engine harness from both, to make it a plug and play .

2nd option is to modify your existing wiring to work with what you have on the 97 shell....

98+ are VVTi. 1997 SC300 still have the original non vvti motor.

However, the 97 is OBDII, so teh ecu is different than 92-95 models.

As far as whether it could be done, sure. I don't see why not. You are just gonna have to cut out an opening at the top of the transmission tunnel in the auto shell.

You would want to keep it obd1 as well unless you are looking to tune the car again. It would be easier to swap the ecu and wiring from your na-t setup since your going to that extent anyway, the harness isn't too bad to deal with but then again I really hate wires.

Thanks! I'm kind of nervous to try this whole swap...I've never done switched an auto car to manual so hopefully don't run into too many roadblocks. I am using a VPC/SAFC combo currently and retuning isn't a big deal...I'd prefer to stick with the 97 harness so I don't have to do all kinds of swapping so as long as I can use the 97 harness and ECU then I'd prefer that.
