*Irritating* battery issue (keeps draining)
On my 1995 sc300 I've been having issues with the battery for the past year. It drains the battery randomly! I can't tell you how many times I've had to jump this car. I've taken it to the mechanic and ran alternator tests, passed it. Did drain/parasitic draw tests when the car was off, passed it. Took the battery(pro start from pep boys) to test the battery and they wouldn't give me a new battery because they ran a test on it and it was perfect, the battery was 5 months old. We replaced all the hardware connected to the battery and still nothing. We thought it was obviously a drain, but wtf it doesn't show up with a draw when we hook it up. Or maybe I have to catch it. Is there a better way to diagnose this? For example, i'll drive the car just fine for an hr after jumping it, go to class for about two hrs and come back to a dead battery again.
I'm currently replacing an igniter which will hopefully solve my code 14 igniter circuit fail problem(misfires occasionally). If it doesn't get fixed, it's the ECU thats bad. Idk if that helps.

I hate throwing parts at a problem but, I had a similar problem with my supra. Ended up being the alternator killing the battery even though it tested fine. It would drain it when the car was off. I would put a fresh charged battery in, let the car sit over night and the battery was dead in the morning without ever turning the key on or starting the car at all. Replaced just the alternator and problem was fixed.
Maybe ask around for someone to let you barrow an alternator for a week or something, or buy a junkyard one just to rule the alternator out before buying a brand new one.
Also, have you with the car off and a multimeter hooked up removed fuses 1 by 1 to look for a drop on the multimeter?
