Default advice on intake/headers/exhaust

im a noob and i just purchased an 97 sc300. the 2jgte is a great motor but the swap is expensive (over 4k) especially in south Florida and all of my friends that have been through the blood sweat and tears dealing with turbo have advise me to just cruise and keep the sc super clean. i want a lil pep in her step. i am wonder if you guys can give me a suggestion on a great intake/ header and exhaust combo that will give my 2j (non boost) some punch

So I am confused here you are looking for more power from a gte?
Ugh turn up the boost or are you asking which turbo header is best?

the SC's weigh quite a bit, I don't think any intake, header, exh will give it punch. 1jz's are cheap and if you spend some time on this forum researching you can even swap it yourself and save some cash moolah FTW.

Please use the search function. This has been covered NUMEROUS times. Bolt ons aren't worth the money for the power you get. Save up and get a swap or a turbo kit. Search for it like I said if you want more details.

He said the turbo thing because you named the wrong engine code. The SC300 is the 2jzge the 2jzgte is the turbo version. As for n/a power..you're not going to get much I learned this the hard way the first time. You can spend upwards of 2000 dollars on a nice intake exhaust and header or....you can spend 2000-2500 hundred dollars and drop in a 1jz with a lot more potential and stock power..take it from someone doing it right the second time around. The 280hp stock out of a 1jz should give you the punch your looking for and you could keep it stock and cruise from there.
