Default rack and pinion replacement

i was going to buy a replacement rack and pinion because i went to the dealer and they said i needed it. i have very little knowledge on power steering. and the term "EVO componenet" got brought up can anyone explain what this is. and how i know if my sc400 needs it or not? please and thank you

I knew mine needed to be replace because it was leaking heavily and was chattering. As far as EVO componenet... I have no idea. I had an OEM remanufactured unit put in with labor and all being a couple hundred dollars.

evo component pretty much is the ps pump gets reading from speed and tells the pump how hard needs to work less force needed to turn a car @ 70 mph more force needed when turning the steering wheel during a parking lkot at 5mph or less :-) why do u need a rack unit ? on the sc400???

the bushing on my rack and pinions bad. steering is extremely worn because of this. haha but thanks for clearing that up anyway(:
