Default aristo 2jzgte VVTI in sc300 tachometer, speedometer, temperature gauge help please.

So my buddy is the one doing the work on this and all is done EXCEPT the tachometer and the speedometer. it seems on this trani (came with the aristo) there's a data signal for a bunch of things, including Tach and speed.

Anyone know how to get these working with this setup (I got a message in to turbo819 and my next stop is contacting dr. tweek). The race is on for a good answer

(SC300, 96. 2JZGTE vvti out of an aristo, thus jdm ecu, trans (auto), etc etc.

Did he jump the resistor on the back of the cluster?

How many wires comes off the speed sensor at the trans? is it 2 or 3 wires?

You will need to jump the resistor to get the temp gauge to work.

Sorry to revive a year old thread but I'm having the same problem with my speedometer. I have the tach, temp, and gas all showing and accurate, Dr. Tweak took care of that for me. However, my transmission has no way to hook up a speed sensor, it does have a casting blank of the place where a speed sensor(which I have a few examples of, the one out of the 2jzge auto SC300(96) seems to fit the best.

I have not drilled out the holes yet for it and the screw to keep it in place because I can't see how the nylon gear on the end could possibly interact without the proper gear on the output shaft. The gear required doesn't fit or belong really on the output shaft for the Aristo auto trans. If someone can help me or point me to a speed sensor which will work on the Aristo output shaft I would be forever in your debt.
