Arrow Extending the O2 sensor wires, any1?

For all those that have gone single, I have not noticed any1 shedding light on this area. With the 1jz harness, the wires are not long enough to reach the downpipe. I would like to see what people are doing

Thanks

Weld in a new bung. or find an aftermarket o2 that is longer. i had one that fit just right then used the wide band for the other. hope that helps

extending wires on the o2 sensor isnt any different from extending wires on say some audio equipment. Just be sure you use the proper gauge wires, solder and shrink tube them.

Does it not just screw into it? Or if you have the flange type you'll have to weld a mount on the DP or just get a different screw in sensor.

^^Most of the aftermarket DP's have threaded sensor bungs.

If using the stock flange type, they need to have a mount welded on, or pick up a set of Bosch universal threaded type sensors..unless the sensors on the engine are heated type o2's, then you need to find the heated sensors that are threaded.

Going to see the price to buy a Bosch universal, but I am also needing to get my downpipe modded, so what ever works I guess.

yeah the universal works great. don't overthink it, I used the ol solder and heatshrink method when I did mine. it will even work if you just twist the bare wires together and electrical tape but if you want the connection to last in the engine bay solder and heatshrink it.
