Question The Titan Street class Supra

Does anybody have specs or any links for the engine in this beast? Turbo? headwork, etc? Any info would be appreciated.

It would seem to be around 800-850rwhp for that weight (approx. 2950lbs).

The surprising thing here is that a pig lexus SC300 with stock weight *3800lbs* (but otherwise similar driveline, etc.) would/could run a 9.69 @ 141 with that same driveline.

Sup Scott. It's a GReddy T88H, and would I do it in a full-weight SC and give up seven tenths? Hell yeah...

P.S. - I'm sure 'Titan' will chime in and give more details on headwork, etc, far as I know they're not running it on the street for money, so he'll probably be willing to share the setup.

I might know a little bit about this car as I see it EVERY day

The car has a T88H turbo setup on it, 2JZ-GTE motor with Titan headpackage. It does put out over 800hp but I can't be too specific on the numbers. Weight is 2950 with driver in it (Marks about 160). The car has run a best of 9.00@160 on BFG Drag Radials.

I can't really give out all the details of I would have to kill you There are some nice movies at the link below.

How do you get the 9.69 @ 141mph figure??? Weight?

Me+car=3800lbs.

I used the drag calculator:

Plugged in his ET, TRAP and weight to guess his HP.

http://www.turbofast.com.au/drag.html

Here is what I got:

Titan:
2960lbs
800hp
=9.00 ET at 151.
950hp
=8.50 ET at 160.

I'm guessing based on this that the car has 950 crank hp (807? ish at the wheels), and just has less than optimal way of getting the power down. Supras notoriously get worse ETs than their HP suggest.

Then, I just plugged in the 800 and 950 numbers for 3800 lbs.

I actually got 9.79@147 using the ET for 800hp and the trap mph for 950hp. (which is what matches the Titan car)

The calculator numbers also seem to match up with my personal results (timeslips v.s. dyno runs v.s. street racing comparable cars.) On pump gas with 500 crank hp, I should trap around 119mph. This seems correct. My ET should be around 12.1 with Drag radials and ideal traction, this also seems correct. On pump gas, a 2002 Z06 is a close race, on race gas, its not a close race.

Of course, this would also mean that I'd have to drive like Mark Mazurowski and spend a season tuning the car.

No offense to Titan, but Scott to get that kind of power, it doesn't require a T88

plenty of Supras running larger T-series Garrets and making that kind of power... (there's always the PHR car and its Y2k , too bad its running methanol )

I like the 1000hp video in there

this is what 1140awhp, slipping off the dyno, not running anywhere near max boost, and being limited to 10k rpms when your max is somewhere around 12-13

http://www.exvitermini.com/movies/852r33.mpg

thats 852kw

Remember that Garrett and Greddy use a totally different numeral system, so a Garrett T72 is about the same size as a greddy T88. You'd be suprised at the power numbers this setup puts down I'll give you a hint the PHR car did 156mph on slicks ours did 160 and I believe he is pretty light as well.

Sorry, but a big T series (T72) doesn't come close to a Greddy T88H setup. The SW T72 car on slicks managed a 155ish trap with slicks and 70 shot of Nos.

You have to remember that this Titan car is doing all this without NOS and on DOT radials, not slicks.

Jesus Rivera is well over 800rwhp without NOS as well. His setup made 698rwhp on pump gas! All on a T88H. Perhaps more important, the Greddy kits don't cost an arm and a leg.

Just look a the t04r site to see where the T series turbos are.

I'd like to see the Titan car with full slicks an a 70shot on top. It would be intersting to see some 8.x sec@17x mph runs on a 6spd car.

One question for Titan... How many trannies has Mark gone through so far? What has been the weakest link in the driveline?

I'm pretty sure the T72 is pretty close to a T88... the T76 is more like it though...

the biggest thing about a T88 is the crazy exhaust side... i believe its the same for all T88 turbo kits, but the RX-7 T78, which has a TD07 exhaust side has like a equivalent 1.3 A/R which is friggin crazy... the T88 is running a TD08 which is a good bit larger a pure race turbo

First Question : Summerslam Englishtown, NJ ?

Second Question : Zero Trannies, that is the original tranny that nero street raced the car 3 years ago with and it holds up wonderfully. Still on the same clutch that the car started with as well and it show no sign of slipping. Weakest link was a driveshaft problem we had which has since been resolved. Really no drive line problems. The car isn't as crazy as you will hear it is.

The T88H is a very powerful turbo and not as bad as everyone thinks, I wish I could release the dyno numbers, but then again if I did no one would beleive me

I dig it Wes, and i'll be @ E-town to see you guys, they've got such a great first 60ft there, I used to run almost two full tenths quicker on my short time there. Radials and no jugo, much respect brother.
