.......the only way you could get a pool of antifreeze in the center of the engine in front of the starter on a 1uz.

Is there any other way? I don't see how unless the intake has a water jet I am unaware of.

Based on the manual, that's the only thing I can see. Is this a trick question? What about the coolant lines that run near the throttle body? Could those be leaking down into the valley?

I think it could be possible also if the head gasket failed.

Here is my car when I chaged the starter


I would think if the headgasket failed toward the inside of the motor some coolant would pool in the valley

HG, bypass pipe, and the lines that run around the engine bay that connect to the rear water bypass... you know those lines that go to the TB, EGR, etc...

or your starter is watercooled now...

MUAh ahauhaua water cooled would work if it were waterPROOF. The guy I had do the starter is gonna look since his fingers were in there last. I don't pull the intake unless I HAVE to. I hate that area.
