2jzgte/96 sc300 swap
well guys after all of my searching and still no answer. i have been searching for the last week. different wording and all but most of the stuff i find is jdm or just doesn't get into detail about the wiring. maybe thats because everyone says just send it to dr tweaks or whatever he goes buy.i have a 96 sc300 that i am going to put my 2jzgte into with a single turbo, hks 272's, q45 tb, upgraded fuel with a th350 trans and vpc for now. now i have a usdm harness and computer that will plug up but is there any info on the body plugs that will have to be change or modified. is it as easy as changing the plugs from stock harness to tt harness or do i have to add wires. is there any detailed info. if i had everything out and looking at it im sure i could figure it out but im not going to start until i have all my info this time. i get tired of seeing cars sit on stand for periods of time while i figure stuff out on projects so this time i will drive it until ready. i must say that i really enjoy driving this sc. thanks

Search Phil auldredge. He has an older manual that goes step by step with diagrams from supra plugs to sc plugs on the body portion of the harness. Lots of other info in it, but since your going single some will be of limited usefulness.

This is crucial to your swap decision, I am in a similar boat and have realized that I don't want the hassle of dealing with OBDII. Its very possible, but costly(done right). If you have a way around emissions, I would say go for it! However, from my experience it is a nightmare to get around. My original plan was JDM GTE then converting to USDM with full USDM Supra TT Fields Harness and ECU, while doing either piggyback AEM FIC or VPC. If you are patient and can aquire all the parts you will have no OBDII issues...good luck!!!
