What ATF are you using in your A340E?
I've heard a lot of hype over the Toyota T-IV fluid going into your A340E transmission instead of using Dexron III. But my Toyota dealer says to stick with DIII and that mixing T-IV with it could cause problems. He also said that I may run into problems if I have the tranny flushed then have the T-IV put in. What do you think? Does this guy really know his Toyotas like he thinks he does?

I personally use Dexron III atf in my 93 sc300. When I first bought the car, the shop I took it to put in T-IV when I asked for a drain and fill. Although, I am not sure if the rest of the fluid in the transmission was Dexron or T-IV. It is possible that the 2 could have been mixed, but I cannot verify. 2 years and roughly 16k miles later, I recently flushed the transmission and refilled with Dexron III. I noticed that it seems to shift smoother now.
