Sounded like exhaust to me. I had the same thing, straight from the turbo manifold to head.

Well im gonna have to agree. I just fixed an exhaust leak on my car, however im not GTE swapped...but still, made the same noise

yep, exhaust leak..
i had to fix one on my car..
just rev it and feel around for air

I cheat when it comes to finding exhaust leaks....I pull the brake booster vacuum line loose and pour a little bit of tranny fluid in while the motors idling....makes a great smoke show! Afterwards a little seafoam will clean up any tranny fluid residue in the intake track.

I think I am going to Seafoam it tomarrow. I am sure I will see it, if there is a leak.
