2jzge hockey puck mounts
so my oem mounts on my 2jzge are shot. chunks have been falling off. vibrations have been increasing, esp at ignition and cut off. i didnt wanna blow 300 on megan polyurethane nor 100 for oem replacements... soo im trying to gather info onto how to do the hockey puck mounts.
if anyone has dimensions of 2JZGE mounts from a 92, that would be awesome, also a diagram. visuals always help.
i needed dimensions to figure out if i needed junior/teen or adult pucks as well as how many i need to stack or shave down so i can get the correct hieght.
this can be helpful for those guys with na-t.
i also looked around and it looks like the 89+ mkiii supra rubber supports may be the same.. ill have to take one out of my parts car 89 supra, and check it out.

here's how I did it. 1 used 3 regulation sized pucks, bought from Sports Authority. they were pretty close to the size of my 1992 GE mounts. I took a bolt from a 98 Maxima motor mount (very long, strong), placed washers at both ends, drilled the hockey pucks, stacked them on top of one another, and installed them on the engine, bolting them with the stock bolt. They are solid as day one with zero issues.

Buy the mounts instead of using hockey pucks thats ghetto as hell. Spend the money and get the right product if the new mount breaks you can go back to the company and get a refund or a new mount. You buy hockey pucks your on your own ,but thats your choice.

^^^ I don't know about doing the job better cause if that was the case I would either go poly. or just just solid metal mounts. If you cheap out things break weather you like it or not. You like getting your post count up, u have at least 6 posts in each SC section.

hey guys, if you can keep the bashing off the threads, and if you really wanna continue, please feel free to take it somewhere else.
sholexman - i do know where your comming from, and i wasnt offended by your post. all it is, is your opinion. this hockey puck mod has always gotten its hate and love from different people.
"You buy hockey pucks your on your own ,but thats your choice."
and your exactly right.
i may just end up going to do solid mounts due to a friend of mine who can mass produce them as a product, as well as a polyurethane version.
ill keep you guys updated
all is said, please keep this thread clean.
