Default Setting the timing on a 1999 SC300??

Hey guys,

I searched the forums for setting the timing already, but there were no guides. Just checking to see if any of you had an idea on how to do it. It's a 1999 with VVT-i. I know how to check it, but not sure where to adjust it at. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Chinh

if the 99 uses a distributor, the theres is a 12mm bolt holding the dist. to the head. loosen that and shift it around to your hearts content. or until youre at the right timing. you know...

Lol....Thanks for the info tula. Found some more websites saying that I cant set the timing unless I mess with the ECU. Guess I'll have to tear back into the front... Car's been down for almost 2 weeks now. Hopefully have it done on Sunday while bbq'in.

ucfa4 - I thought it was the piston rings....I was ready for a motor swap haha.
